Pinda is an award-winning, multidisciplinary Creative Director who has channeled her energy and imagination into crafting exceptional branding campaigns across both traditional and new media. A talented art director, wife, and proud mother of three beautiful girls, she excels in art, photo direction, and graphic design. Additionally, Pinda is an accomplished digital, editorial, and packaging designer with a particular passion for logos, invitations, fashion styling, and shopping.
As a highly sought-after Art Director, Pinda spent over 7 years at Essence magazine, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the brand through fashion, beauty, relationships, and healthy living content. She also spearheaded numerous redesigns and franchise launches. Her expertise extends to overseeing both print and digital campaigns, notably as Art Director at Stage Stores and as Creative Director for Uncle Funky’s Daughter, a prominent natural hair care brand.
Beyond her full-time roles, Pinda has an extensive portfolio of freelance projects that includes collaborations with AAFCA, the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame, and the Waco Family and Faith Film Festival, where she has demonstrated her ability to craft impactful branding and creative direction for diverse audiences and organizations.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Pinda earned her Master’s degree at Pratt Institute after growing up in Trinidad, West Indies. She also holds a BFA from the University of Houston in Texas.
